The erectile dysfunction drugs are one of the most prescribed and often used drugs.

Dr Fox:

I was on the same medication as myself (but not a lot) and my doctor prescribed me a sildenafil (tadalafil) (the generic) at a high dosage and a dapoxetine (oxazepam) at a lower dose. I have heard about the sildenafil in the pharmacy (it is usually taken in the morning) and when the dose was low it was a little higher and I didn't have any problems with the dosage. I've heard that it's been used in conjunction with counselling (it's a combination of things) but I didn't want to give up on it. It's not as common as I thought, but it may be possible, especially when other treatments don't work well.

I was put on a higher dose of sildenafil (the generic) and was told to take the higher dose. The sildenafil and dapoxetine were fine as long as the dapoxetine was at a good dose. I'm a bit hesitant if it's possible to get a low dose that way.

I do have side effects, but I'm not sure if it's possible to take them together or I should have it on a separate day. The only thing I know is if I have to start on this for an extended period. My doctor is concerned about that. He doesn't know if he should have it or if it's possible to have an overdose of it, but I've read in the literature that it can be done. I've also read that it's possible to get an overdose of it if you're taking it for a long time and are too low.

Any advice?

Thank you,

Linda M:

Dr Fox,

You mention that you take tadalafil (tadalafil) with or without food. I've read that it's usually taken with food. Does this mean that you're taking it with food? I'm not sure why it was given to me with food, but I think that it may have been a result of me thinking I should take it with food. I have no idea. Thanks!

I take it with food. But that's not an endorsement for food, I think the medication is for me, I'm taking it for fun and a lot of the time is for good reasons. I do have side effects, but not as much as I would like them to be.

Thank you both very much,

It's good to have my opinion and the advice. If you don't have any side effects, do you still need a prescription for it?

Absolutely! I think it's important that patients get prescribed a medication that has been well tolerated, because if a drug does not do its job, it's not going to be effective. And the only way to make sure you are taking the right medication is to be a good doctor.

Thank you both so much for all the advice. I'll keep an eye on the dosage and see what happens. I'm a bit worried about this because it may be possible to get an overdose of it.

This is an emergency for me, and I can't afford to take any medication without a prescription. So, I've been on it for about 4 years and I've never had an overdose. So, I don't think I need any more advice. I'm still on tadalafil. I'm on the same dose as before.

P. S. You've all read the other posts on this thread. It's great to hear you're taking the right medication!

And how many times in the past have you had a side effect that was worse than the first? I mean, what happened to my heart, where the heart was, and what happened to my blood pressure, is all that matters. And I think I was on a higher dose than I was on any other medication.

Thank you so much for the advice and support. I'll be checking out the website at the end of the week and hopefully see what happens.

Treat your erectile dysfunction with Dapoxetine. This medication is an effective treatment for erectile dysfunction, and it works by increasing blood flow to the penis, helping men achieve and maintain an erection during sexual activity.

Dapoxetine is an antidepressant. It is commonly prescribed to treat depression, anxiety, and other mental health conditions, and may also be used to treat certain other conditions as well.

It works by helping the brain to release more serotonin and norepinephrine, which helps to boost sexual performance. This medication is not recommended for use during pregnancy. You should discuss the potential risks and benefits of using this medication with your healthcare provider before starting treatment.

Before taking Dapoxetine, be sure to tell your healthcare provider about all of your medical conditions, including if you have any liver or kidney problems, heart problems, or are taking any other medications. Dapoxetine is not approved for use in women. Your doctor may order certain tests or procedures to determine if you are eligible for the medication.

Dapoxetine can cause side effects, although not everyone experiences them. Common side effects include nausea, headache, and dizziness. These side effects are usually mild and temporary. If you experience any severe or persistent side effects, such as prolonged erection (priapism), sudden vision or hearing loss, chest pain, or difficulty breathing, seek medical attention immediately.

If you have a history of allergic reactions to Dapoxetine, such as hives, difficulty breathing, or swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat, seek immediate medical attention. It is also important to inform your doctor if you are pregnant, are breastfeeding, or are planning to become pregnant.

Dapoxetine is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) medication. This medication may be prescribed for other uses; ask your healthcare provider or pharmacist for more information.

This medication is not approved for use in children under 18 years old.

How to use Dapoxetine:
  • Take Dapoxetine by mouth with or without food as directed by your doctor, usually once a day. It can be taken with or without food. Do not take Dapoxetine more often than once daily, but do not exceed the recommended dose.
  • Swallow the tablets whole; do not chew, break, or crush the tablets. This medication is not for women or children.
  • Take this medication with a full glass of water.
How Dapoxetine Works:
  • Dapoxetine works by blocking the reuptake of serotonin in the brain. It does this by preventing the reabsorption of serotonin, a neurotransmitter in the brain that carries signals between nerve cells in the nervous system, in order to increase the amount of serotonin available for nerve impulses.
  • This medication increases serotonin levels in the brain, which helps to increase sexual desire. It also increases norepinephrine levels in the brain, which helps to boost the feeling of sexual pleasure. By increasing norepinephrine levels in the brain, Dapoxetine helps to treat depression, anxiety, and other mental health conditions that may be caused by low serotonin or low norepinephrine levels.
Dapoxetine is FDA approved for the treatment of erectile dysfunction (impotence). Dapoxetine works by increasing serotonin levels in the brain. This can help to increase libido, satisfaction, and sexual pleasure.

The dosage and duration of treatment can vary from person to person. Your doctor will determine the most appropriate dose for you based on your specific needs. The maximum recommended dose is usually 20 mg.

It is important to note that Dapoxetine may not work for everyone. It may not be safe for everyone. If you experience symptoms such as loss of sexual desire or erectile dysfunction, talk to your doctor right away.

Dapoxetine is not recommended for use during pregnancy. It is not approved for use in women. Talk to your healthcare provider if you have any concerns or questions about dapoxetine use during pregnancy. Dapoxetine may harm the unborn baby or cause low birth weight.
